An Update!
I have been making great strides in converting the photos here to Flickr. Flickr has been a boon in a few ways, giving me a firm set of keywords to start with rather than generating completely new ones that make grouping difficult, ease of creating sets, and now the possiblity of adding GPS information. True, I could already do what Flickr does, only not in as rich of an environment, and perhaps it is that which has given me renewed zeal to get this done.
I have been focusing on the USA Summer Camp 2003 set first. I have actually dug up most of my papers, journals, and schedules from that timeperiod, which has helped me quite a bit. It's also fun to go back and read up on what I had written and created, and see the old places again. Oddly, while some of the timelines may have become muddled in my mind, I still remember the campers and the facilities with amazing clarity. That knowledge has helped me find the facilities via Google Earth in order for me to find the GPS location of those places, and also brings back a ton of memories of those camps, both good and bad.
Once I get the 2003 Summer Camp done, it will logically follow that I'll get the 2004 Summer Camp done, then Hong Kong, and finally the Study Abroad one, one that has been long neglected and which was the original genesis for this entire site. It took about two weeks to finally get GPS coordinates for most locations, and now that I have those, the rest should go quickly. Be sure to check back for updates, and be sure to check my Flickr account.
